Presentamos la nueva edici³n en espa±ol de la Biblia de Jerusal©n. Es la cuarta edici³n que ha terminado su revisi³n en 2009, en continuidad con las ediciones anteriores de 1967, 1975 y 1998. Se ha mantenido la tradicional fidelidad a los textos originales hebreo, arameo y griego, y la transmisi³n de las introducciones y notas de la versi³n francesa.
Indicamos a continuaci³n las novedades m¡s importantes de esta cuarta edici³n:
- Se ha mantenido el mismo equipo de especialistas que en la tercera edici³n y los valores fundamentales de sus traducciones de las lenguas originales: unidad interior de los distintos escritos bÂblicos de la Antigua y Nueva Alianza, reflejo del ritmo del verso hebreo en la lÂrica y atenci³n especial a los lugares paralelos, especialmente en los Evangelios Sin³pticos.
- Se han revisado literariamente todos los libros del Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento por parte del actual coordinador general VÂctor Morla: con acomodaci³n al castellano de los clich©s hebreos, mejora en la armonizaci³n de textos y pulido del estilo.
- Se han actualizado las notas de car¡cter hist³rico, geogr¡fico y arqueol³gico, con introducci³n de algunas nuevas, por parte de JoaquÂn Gonz¡lez Echegaray.
- Se ha incorporado la traducci³n de algunos cambios en las notas de la ºltima edici³n francesa de la Biblia de Jerusal©n: algunas han sido suprimidas por obsoletas, al tiempo que se han incorporado otras de car¡cter cultural e hist³rico-geogr¡fico.
Esta nueva edici³n se beneficia de los estudios e investigaciones de la Escuela BÂblica y Arqueol³gica de Jerusal©n y de los exegetas que forman el nuevo equipo de traductores de la Biblia de Jerusal©n en espa±ol, permaneciendo fiel a los principios de las ediciones precedentes al tiempo que supone una completa puesta al dÂa de la investigaci³n bÂblica de los ºltimos a±os.

Introducing the new Spanish edition of the Jerusalem Bible. This is the fourth edition and its review was completed in 2009, in continuity with previous editions 1967, 1975, and 1998. It has remained faithful to the traditional allegiance to the original texts of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, and the transmission of introductions and notes of the French version. Features of this fourth edition include:
- The same team of specialists that worked on the third edition has edited this fourth edition, maintaining the core values of their translations of the original languages: unity within the various biblical books of the Old and New Testament, reflection of the rhythm of the lyrical poetry in the Hebrew verses and special attention to parallels, especially those found in the Synoptic Gospels.
- We reviewed all the books of the Old and New Testaments on behalf of the general coordinator Victor Morla: with translation of the Hebrew clich©s to accommodate the Spanish language, improving the harmonization of the texts and refined style.
- JoaquÂn Gonz¡lez Echegaray has updated the historical, geographical and archeological notes and has also introduced some new ones.
- We have incorporated the translation of some changes made to the notes of the last French edition of the Jerusalem Bible: some have been removed as obsolete, while others have incorporated a cultural, historical and geographical character.
This new edition benefits from the studies and research of Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem and the exegetes who form the new team of translators of the Jerusalem Bible in Spanish, staying true to the principles of previous editions while representing a complete updating of biblical scholarship in recent years.
