Japanese Quilts;

Some of the most fascinating and beautiful quilts in the world today are being made in Japan. The tremendous popularity of quilting there can be traced back to a famous collection of American quilts that toured major Japanese cities in 1976. Japanese needleworkers were impressed by the graphic design in the Holstein collection, but were especially attracted by the lovely old fabrics and the use of scraps.
