This new edition combines two favorite Kautzky books, Pencil Pictures and Pencil Broadsides, into one comprehensive volume. The first section deals with creating pictures in pencil from subject matter found in nature. Landscapes of seashore and country are illustrated and analyzed, augmented by a series of 31 plates. The second section includes 12 lessons on broad stroke pencil techniques and their application to commonly encountered architectural and landscapes forms and textures, together with an additional 24 beautifully executed plates by Kautzky. 112 pages, 9 by 12 inches, with over 150 black and white illustrations.
