Mastering the California Standards in reading, writing, listening and speaking is organized by workshops that cover standards instruction in writing strategies, writing applications, listening and speaking strategies, and speaking applications. Each workshop covers a different genre of writing and directly correlates to a speaking and listening application standard. Each workshop includes direct instruction, sustained practice, and reinforcement of the standards. Assessment is aligned with the standards.
